Terra Madre Day
Terra Madre Day
Across our planet Slow Food enthusiasts will be celebrating biodiversity and local food culture. Some will be part of large celebrations; some will have a quieter cerebral day, perhaps foraging, reading, but above all eating sustainable seasonal food: good, clean and fair. Terra Madre is the biennial congress held in Turin to coincide with Salone del Gusto, arguably the world’s greatest food event. See photo below as we gather with UK chef participants. As this is not the year of the Congress we have Terra Madre Day acting as a reminder and a cause for celebration. Check out the weblink in Scottish Food Guide Taste Buddies to more info.
Local Slow Food supporters Howard and Eileen Wilkinson have their own reasons to celebrate as they were finalists in the Vibes Awards a few days ago in the Best Micro Business Award AND Best Management Micro Business Award ( Summary photo). Congratulations to them both. Check out their wonderful range of bakery on Scottish Food Guide.
