Terra Madre Slow Food Stall at Centotre

It has been a busy foodie week in February, whether you are shopping for your Valentine at Centotre or picking up recipes ideas from yours truly at a Valentine's Evening at Hopetoun Farm Shop.

The cookery show was on Wednesday. I am delighted to report it was a sell out and we had a good time with lots of tasting, finishing with Raspberry Gin Cocktails. I cooked up Summer Isles Salmon Pockets with Dill Sauce and Caviar, Chargrilled Valentine Hopetoun Lamb with Pink Peppercorn Sauce and Meringue Nests with Cranachan. All the recipes will appear on Scottish Food Guide website in the next few days.

Strolling along George Street in Edinburgh this afternoon I stopped at Centotre where they have a lovely fruit and vegetable stall outside every Friday - what a refreshing idea. Celebrating Slow Food and encouraging seasonal produce is right up my street!
